Zen-ly (“we”, “the app”) is a focus and digital-wellbeing app. We designed it to be private by default. This policy explains what happens to your information.
Zen-ly has no user accounts and no servers of our own. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. There is no analytics, advertising, or tracking in the app.
Your focus sessions, schedules, profiles, goals, challenges, and settings are stored locally on your device (and, if you enable it in a future update, synced privately through your own iCloud account via Apple CloudKit). This data never leaves your device except through your own iCloud, which is controlled by Apple and your Apple ID.
To block distracting apps during focus sessions, Zen-ly uses Apple’s Screen Time framework (Family Controls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings). When you select apps or websites to block, Apple provides Zen-ly with opaque tokens — the app never receives the real names of your apps, your browsing, or your usage in human-readable form. This information stays on your device and is managed by iOS. Zen-ly cannot see it and does not upload it.
That is the complete list. Zen-ly does not request access to your calendar, reminders, contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
You can change or revoke any of these in the iOS Settings app at any time.
There are none. Zen-ly contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics or crash-reporting services, no advertising networks, and no networking code of any kind. Nothing in the app communicates with an outside service, so there is no other party’s privacy policy that applies to your use of it.
Zen-ly is a self-directed tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. If iCloud sync is enabled in the future, you can remove the data from your iCloud storage.
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
